Terrain: Moderate – Some hills and/or some poor footing, Strenuous – Hilly with steep climbs and some poor footing
Distance: 69.4 km. Day 1: 39.3km Day 2: 32.1km (includes 1 km hike back to the cars both days)
Description
Join us for a 2 day hike through the Blue Mountains section enjoying the beauty of the rugged terrain while bathing in the spectacular fall colours. This is a LONG STRENUOUS hike for experienced hikers and is not suitable for beginner/slow hikers. Each day covers from 35-37km with 3 checkpoints offering water and refreshments. Due to reduced daylight hours, hikers will be shuttled back to their car from the 3rd checkpoint if they reach the checkpoint later than 3:30pm. Please no children under 16! The $70 fee for members ($80 for non-members) will cover bus transportation to the start point each day, BBQ on day 1, checkpoint refreshments, online registration fees, and E2E badges for those that complete both days of the event. Details will be emailed to participants once registration is received.
