We can do hard things: This pandemic has been deflating, sad, tragic, frustrating….you name it. The new emergency measures have left us unsure as to how we will even hold our event this year, virtual or not. Regardless of all of these obstacles, we are pushing forward because we know that there are youth in our community that are really suffering and they need our help, more so than they ever have before.
We rely on the Coldest Night of the Year as our biggest fundraiser for Home Horizon. We also recognize that everyone in our community is suffering hardships in some way. We know that not everyone will be able to donate, that many are juggling work/parenting/homeschooling and can’t imagine squeezing in fundraising or coordinating a team. We know it’s hard. But we can do hard things.
We ask you to join us again this year, in whatever capacity you can. To please champion a fundraising team, to bring awareness and much needed funds for Home Horizon…or at the very least be able to enjoy a walk outside that shows youth at risk of homelessness that we are thinking of them. We are a community that cares and together apart, we can make this happen.
