Bryan Adams’ initial success as artist can in no small way be attributed to his time spent with early co-writer Jim Vallance
Vallance first made a name for himself on the Canadian music scene as the drummer and one of the songwriters for the band Prism. Trading life on the road for life in the studio, Vallance quit the band and connected with a young singer who had just recently left the Canadian band Sweeney Todd to go solo.
They began writing songs for Prism, BTO and other artists before launching Bryan Adams as a solo star with his debut album in 1980. The team worked together steadily with increasing success until they split in 1989. The two seldom spoke through out the 90s but reconciled in 2003.
This is an Adams/Vallance song from 1983!
