Christmas starts in Collingwood this Saturday!

Christmas starts in Collingwood this Saturday!
Downtown Collingwood is once again pleased to officially launch the holiday season this Saturday,
November 19, with a day filled with fun and entertainment.
Plan to visit with the Santa’s Reindeer-in-Training beside town hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. … enjoy
the strolling entertainment all day downtown presented by Collingwood’s own Circus Company.
The shops are decorated and over flowing with great gift ideas for everyone on your list … plan to
come for the day and explore – enjoy a hot cocoa, coffee or a lunch at one of downtown’s cafes or
restaurants.
Of course the highlight of the day is the annual Santa Claus Parade, beginning at 5 p.m. Enjoy the
beauty of the downtown lights and displays as businesses, organizations and musicians capture this
year’s theme of ‘Christmas through the Eyes of a Child’… remembering the special feeling that the
holiday season brought to you as a child … when everything seemed bigger, brighter and almost
magical.
After the parade follow the crowd and join us at the tree, adjacent to the Federal Building, for the
‘lighting’ of the town’s Christmas Tree as we officially celebrate the start of the holiday season in our
community. Santa will also be attending the ceremony and visiting with the children.
