‘SPOTLIGHT’ SEASON 2 PREMIERS JULY 12TH!
The popular on-line celebration of Collingwood’s vibrant music scene is back — June 10, 2021 — the Town of Collingwood and 95.1 The Peak are proud to announce the return of the popular webcast program ‘SPOTLIGHT’ with the first episode of the show’s second season scheduled for streaming July 12, 2021.
“We are very excited to continue to explore and celebrate the many talented artists, musicians, producers and industry leaders that make up and influence our unique and wonderful music community,” said Tyler Cleary from the Town of Collingwood’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department.
Cleary returns as co-host along with John Eaton for the second season of ‘SPOTLIGHT’. The monthly, on-line live broadcast will again feature interviews with both celebrated and burgeoning local singer/songwriters and bands. Also returning will be the popular segments with music industry experts. The second season of ‘SPOTLIGHT’ also promises some exciting new features.
“This year we will have segments from an array of guest contributors,” said John Eaton, also known for his role as host of 95.1 The Peak’s morning show ‘Talk of the Town’. “…taking inspiration from the Town’s Live and Original Music initiative and the success of our Live and Original radio feature, we hope to delve even deeper into what makes this area such a fertile community for songwriting, recording and performing.”
‘SPOTLIGHT’ Season 2 will air live at https://www.facebook.com/Simcoe-Street-Theatre-1559306034315246 monthly, with Episode 1 airing July 12, 2021.
