County of Simcoe Paramedic Services is joining forces with the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and Peak FM to host the Paramedic Push, a stretcher fundraiser push along Highway 26 from Stayner to Midhurst on Friday, September 14. Funds raised will go towards RVH’s Advanced Cardiac Care program.
This grass roots initiative led by County of Simcoe Paramedic Services is in its second year, having pushed a stretcher from Midland to Midhurst in 2017. The team of Paramedic volunteers look forward to another successful fundraising and awareness event as they push for better care closer to home.
Representatives from the RVH Foundation will be on hand to accept donations at the County of Simcoe Administration Centre throughout the day. Donations can also be made online.
“Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is committed to ensuring residents of this region can get the care they need closer to home, “ says Janice Skot, RVH president and CEO. “In early-2018, we opened the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Heart Program with two state-of-the-art catheterization suites providing diagnostic angiograms and soon, scheduled angioplasties. When it comes to the heart, ‘time is muscle’ and County of Simcoe Paramedic Services is key to ensuring timely, lifesaving cardiac care. RVH’s paramedic partners are further demonstrating their commitment to residents’ healthcare by raising awareness and funds for RVH’s cardiac program through the second paramedic push event.”
