About Barrie Art Club:
Barrie Art Club (BAC) was founded in 1949, in the City of Barrie, Ontario. It is a non-profit organization
and is run entirely by our volunteer members. Over the past half century it has grown into a vibrant
community resource for professional and amateur artists alike, as well as artists-at-heart (those wanting
to learn or those just wanting to appreciate art). BAC has grown to over 200 artists working in and around the Barrie area. It continues to grow online, to include talented artists across Canada. Our gallery/studio is open weekdays with art for appreciation and sale. We exhibit our work at the Barrie City Hall.

Rotunda each year. BAC is a big supporter of our community. More specifically, BAC:

  • Provides an outlet for anyone over the age of 18 to socialize and increase their knowledge and skill
while working in a non-judgmental environment with those of like minds.
  • Works with Community Organizations such as the MacLaren Art Centre and Simcoe County Museum in order to encourage the arts within Barrie.
  • Barrie Art Club and Kiwanis are co-founders of Kempenfest which originated in 1971.
  • BAC Provides Yearly Scholarships For the Arts Program at Georgian College
