The theme of this year’s GTHS Furball Gala, Denim & Diamonds, is sure to be our best yet with great food, fantastic entertainment by Arden And The Tourists, as well as both a silent and live auction. New to the Furball silent auction this year is the ability to bid for items using your smart phone! If you don’t have a smart phone or are not tech-savvy, no need to worry – there will be help staff on-site that will have tablets for your use. Detailed instructions will be emailed to guests prior to the event.
There are so many benefits to holding an “online” silent auction!
Browse items from your phone with ease without having to stand in a crowded room (note: the silent auction items will be on-site for viewing)
Place a “maximum bid” from the moment the auction opens (if you wish) in order to save you from constantly checking the status of your items – this will allow you more time to socialize and let loose without having to worry about being outbid. Once your maximum bid has been beaten, your phone will notify you, giving you the option to increase your bid.
No more check-out lines! Your payment will be processed directly from your phone, thus avoiding the long line-ups to cash-out.
No app required: The auction platform is web-based, therefore there is no need to download an app to your phone
