The Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday!

Preparations have begun for the Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market, returning this Saturday, May 16^th. Vendors have been busy planting, growing, baking and crafting to offer only the best for our 23^rd season. This year you will discover exciting new producers at the market with a variety of offerings, plus all your favourites will be back!

At the market, you will find fresh picked in season produce, naturally raised meats, preserves, baked goods, handcrafted items, and representation from area wineries, distilleries, and craft breweries.

The Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market is a member of Farmers’ Markets Ontario and prides itself in adhering to the guidelines of the 100 mile market, featuring only produce grown within 100 miles of the market location, to promote buying local and eating healthy.

Bring an appetite for “local” and join us at the Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market, open every Saturday from now until Thanksgiving, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the municipal parking lot at the corner of Second and Pine Streets.

With the Market being owned and operated by the Collingwood Downtown BIA, it is also able to permit businesses within the Downtown boundaries to participate in the market. It’s a wonderful opportunity for retailers, food service and other businesses that are located downtown to promote their trade and allow visitors at the market to get a sample of the wonderful things our downtown has to offer.

Remember to take advantage of the municipal parking lots on Ste Marie Street for your visit to the market and downtown – parking is free all weekend and they are just a short stroll to the market. Plan to spend some time after your market visit to discover what else there is to find in our amazing stores, galleries and restaurants.
