5th Crown Music recording artists Shipyard Kitchen Party announces tickets are now on sale for their very special February 29th 2020 concert event The Leap Year Soiree at the Simcoe Street Theatre.
“We have had so much success with our theatrical shows at the Simcoe Street Theatre, we thought it might be fun to do a concert there” said Jason Murphy, vocalist/ bodhrán player with Shipyard Kitchen Party.
The band will perform songs popular in their successful folk musicals 100 Years from Now and Tom Thomson’s Wake along with other favourites and brand new songs.
“It’s a concert, so we can add in songs we love that just don’t fit a pub act but we still plan on making a party out of it!” said Sacha Law, vocalist with Shipyard Kitchen Party. “..and yes there will be improv comedy songs too.” Pre-show and intermission cash bar provided by Low Down Bar and Snacks.
Shipyard Kitchen Party will be infusing their east coast inspired folk/pop with the heat of Jamaican soul and the power of Classical music thanks to the help of some very special guest appearances by former Canadian Opera Company Tenor Craig Ashton and lead vocalist from the band Motown and Marley Marcia Alderson.
Tickets are $25.00 general admission and available online at eventbrite.ca and @ the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts. Shipyard Kitchen Party is thankful for the support of 95.1 THE PEAK FM and Collingwood Live & Original.
