Our incredible donors and frontline workers have helped maintain an adequate level of blood products for patients since the onset of COVID. We are deeply grateful for this support, and we continue to count on those extraordinary efforts as we work together to meet patient needs.
Given our unique role in Canadian healthcare and as an essential service, we are committed to welcoming donors to our donor centres throughout COVID-19 and to ensuring their wellbeing is safeguarded at all times. Not all connections can be virtual during the pandemic. Rest assured, our donor centres are friendly places to come together safely, and leaving home to give blood is allowed even during lockdown.
Making an appointment is necessary. Keeping it is crucial. Missed or cancelled appointments are difficult for us to fill since we can longer replace you with a ‘walk-in’ donor. Every donation counts.
Attached are details of upcoming donation events in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach. While the January event in Collingwood and the Wasaga Beach event are currently full, there’s still lots of open appointments to fill at the February Collingwood event.
