    The Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday! Preparations have begun for the Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market, returning this Saturday, May 16th. Vendors have been busy planting, growing, baking and crafting to offer only the best for our 23rd  season. At the market, you will find fresh picked in season produce, naturally raised meats, preserves, baked goods, handcrafted items, and representation from area wineries, distilleries, and craft breweries.

    The Aboriginal Artworks Group of Northern Ontario is planning to hold an Indigenous Summer Fine Arts and Crafts Market on June 20-21 at the Eastview Arena in Barrie. Over the years, the market has grown grown from 32 artisans to about 250 artisans with a wide range of arts and crafts for sale, including moccasins, mitts, apparel, jewellery, ribbon skirts, and carvings.

    The Salvation Army in Orillia provides a food hamper right before the Christmas holiday, so that families can enjoy a special meal together. Included are all the fixings for a turkey dinner, such as fresh potatoes, carrots, onions and apples, and canned goods.  There is enough for more than one meal. Parents and Guardians can “shop” in our gym where we set up hundreds of toys for all ages, so children can have some gifts to open during the holidays.
